Good evening, everyone!
We finally have proper Autumn weather... cloudy, windy, wet and cold-ish.

Hey everyone... how are your local supermarkets and shopping malls? Any Christmas decorations yet?

Good morning :)

Decorations not really that much but the gingerbread and christmas sweets are in the shelves in masses for over a month now.
How is it where you are ?

No decoration yet, but for example LIDL now has one entire aisle dedicated to Christmas stuff.
Others will follow, I am sure. I am only surprised they did not start in, like October.

Good morning :)

That surprises me too - as here the first christmas things you could get from the start of Octoboer, yes.

I do not like that - at least wait until November. I mean ... this year we had gingerbread with chocolate in the shelves and 27°C outside as the summer dragged on for so long. Seems all a bit unfitting.

Another side effect is that there is no excitement when they decorate the space. They could as well leave it for 12 months then. I remember as a kid the smell of a real Christmas tree (some would get it without the root, unfortunately, but never my family), oranges and other stuff under it etc. So the Christmas period was a really special time.

Ah yea - the smells and the way the crisp air felt on you face ..... winter was cold but also kinda magical. There was something 'home'-y about all of that. And now they start to sell gingerbread in august, play christmas songs in october, trhow shelves of useless, ugly plastic trash at you and the smell of wooden fires from the chimneys is gone and got replaced by noise nad way to many blinking lights.

Everything seems aritifical now.

Good morning :)

My gas-heather broke this weekned and the hot water container left a giant puddle on my bathroom floor.
Now I'm trying to reach the repair company.
I hope your day is a bit more relaxed than mine.

Good morning.

Sorry I haven't been around much. Life is pretty busy. We're going to have even less "spare time" once Frontiers of Pandora finishes downloading.

:hehe:
