@Atokirina It would not be an upgrade but a replacement (Xenforo instead of Phpbb3). Unfortunately, it will have to happen near the end of December.

Re: The ground level - in and out
Hmm - I usually take it easy with cinema bookings. And as work has been Pandemonium during the last time I can't say right now with certainty when I might have the time (excluding weekends, of course). But I also feel like I do not actually have to rush it and be the first seat on the first day, so to speak.
My hair grew quite a bit durig the last year, but it still can't be considered long. I cut it off a few more times, the reason mostly being that the next haidresser who might even come close to have any idea how to handle it is always at least 200km away from here. At the moment due to all of the stress that worked up during this year it's just in a not good shape (a bit liek the rest of me). It doesn't help that higher stress levels (and I am practically never not stressed) leads to increased trichotillomania at my side. I know it's bad, but I can also only do that much. I just hope that I'll be able to get things back on track at least a bit soon. (Also my family already started buggin me when I would cut my hair off again, as I 'had it shorter before' and 'it just never grows out ragularly over the entire head so it's not looking tidy'.)

Re: The ground level - in and out
We've got tickets for IMAX for the 15th! And for the 16th! And we're taking the kids on the 20th (on cheap tuesday).
That should do for the first week.
I can barely believe it's finally happening!! And the newest trailers look amazing!!
I'm really hoping you can reduce your stress in some way soon, Elyris. Trich sucks.

Re: The ground level - in and out
Hey
latest updates: I worked 11 hours last Monday and overhours every day after that. I really really hope, this whole project will be wrapped up soon.
Still too much work in progress in the flat - painted the bedroom, living room and kitchen recently (sadly not being too thrilled about how the kitchen turned out - the colour does not quite look as intended) and furniture still has to be assembled (needed to somehow get my more storage space or things will just spiral out of control further).
Contenplating to go to a "90's/2000's dance party" (no real idea what that is) that seeminlgy will take place next weekend in some bigger venue in town. Don't actually want to go (like in: being interested - though I like music and to move around but as such things go nowadays it seems to start late in the day and for real even later ... what' up with that?) , but I am running out of options here.
Anyways - there's also that christmas/winter market in a small castle not too far away on Saturday and I am actually looking forward to that.
I hope the end of the week will find all of us well.

Re: The ground level - in and out
Ooh, I personally enjoy 90's dance parties, but I'm way more extrovert than you. But yea I don't know what's up with events starting so late at night either, I don't want to get to a place at 21:30 only to find out that it won't get actually going until 23:00. On the other hand, if you don't like crowds it might be better to go before it gets too busy and then sneak out when you've had enough ;-)
Christmas markets are always fun, I have fond memories of visiting Germany specifically for their Christmas markets. Enjoy!

Re: The ground level - in and out
Hmm hmm. I don't think I'll go after all. I am busted after this week and I think another 'night shift' might push me over the edge. Also I would have ot go all alone and I never went to such an event so it might not be the smartest thing to do either.

In 72 hrs I’ll have seen The Way of Water
So weird to think that the moment we’ve been waiting for for 13 years is finally upon us…

-17 is nasty... wow... and if it was windy, I guess any structure near the sea was covered with a decent layer of seawater ice

Re: The ground level - in and out
It also snowed simultaneously ... great times
Thankfully there's homeoffice.
Also: I'll be going to the cinema on Saturday so I might not check in before being back to be able to just chime in fully and not jumping through hoops too too much to avoid any spoiler territory (youtube already is a snake pit on that).

Re: The ground level - in and out
We’ve got tickets for tomorrow, in the big laser IMAX in Toronto (about 1hr from here), but now they’ve just announced that a major snow storm is on its way, with recommendations to stay home for non essential travel.
We’ve been waiting 13 years for this day, I’d say it’s pretty essential. Fingers crossed everyone that it’ll just be a lil snow storm please!!
And we’ll need a separate thread to discuss the movie, so this one can remain spoiler free until everyone (all… 4? of us lmao) has seen it.

Recently I joined another avatar discord, one that I'm not in charge of!
It's a good community and highly recommends it.

Re: The ground level - in and out
I’ve joined 2 avatar discords but I’m never on there. They don’t feel like home(tree).
Maybe I’ll visit again after I’ve seen the movie and I’ll want to talk about it.

Re: The ground level - in and out
I would not call watching Avatar 2 non-essential, lol. Just that... the tank would be full, extra blankets on the back seat, food water and snacks for 2 days

Re: The ground level - in and out
Anyway, talking of discord, @Xacoon could/would you make the joining possible for everyone and could you post the link here again? The last one you posted says that the invitation has expired. let's make it the official chat channel with you in charge.
